MACHINE FOR REMOVING COPES AND CUTTING APPLES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: machine has base, tanks, orienting mechanism and transporting tool, fixing unit and mechanism for cutting apples. Apples are advanced by flow of water from bath 1 to orienting mechanism 3 along chute 4, filled with water and formed by infinite canvases 5 and 6. These canvases have to be elastic clamps, they are mounted onto pulleys. Two pulleys are placed onto spring-loaded brackets 12, 13 which are mounted for angular rocking on hinges. Apples in chute 4 are picked up by canvases 5 and 6 are advanced to place of their fixing. Canvases in this case are apart one from the other for distance being equal to diameter of apple. Brackets 12, 13 are spread one from the other, ends of the brackets rest to end of plates 18. End of plate 18 is made in form of a dovetail which swings its end by spring 19 with wane 20 to the same distance, as canvases 5 and 6. As a result the core of apple is disposed opposite needle 28 of fixing unit 17 independently of diameter of an apple. EFFECT: improved productivity of operation. 4 dwg
