FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: first, all shafts are rigidly interconnected by means of bolts. Then, device for measuring crank web deflection is mounted on sections of shafts under test, one device on each section under test. Two sections under test are located between fore stern bearing of propeller shaft and forward bearing of shaft line; other sections under test are located in other spaces between bearings of shaft line (one section in line). Crank web deflections of permissible values are obtained through displacement of intermediate shaft line by means of puller bolts or other devices of diesel engine and bearings; crank web deflections are measured on sections of shafts under test; crank web deflection in aft crank of crankshaft is obtained similarly. EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
