SUBSTANCE: method involves turning down truncated cone-shaped barrels in blank prior to forming; heating blank and placing it into die so that maximum diameters of one pair of barrels are oriented towards forming punch; conducting forming for one press pass, with bending force being simultaneously applied perpendicularly to blank axis and upsetting force being applied along blank axis. EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of crankshafts. 4 dwg
