FIELD: distillation of liquids. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises evaporator with heating element, cooler arranged above evaporator, and distillate receiver in the form of circular trough. Cooler bottom is shaped like a cone whose base is installed on outer side of trough, evaporator is an open flaring-upward vessel installed on upper edge of trough inner side so as to form a clearance between the walls of cooler and evaporator. Cooler inlet pipe may be provided with shut-off cock and operating mechanism in the form of spring-loaded lever and pawl kinematically-linked with cock, and programming unit for its closing. Distilling apparatus may have receiver for end product and float chamber with heating element switch. Cooler may be fitted with diffuser arranged equidistantly from cooler bottom in a spaced relation therewith. Evaporator may be provided with a steam plate and a steam pipe.
