FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical vessel and device for preventing formation of gas phase disposed in the vessel. The device has a chamber with corrugated side walls made from resilient material and end walls made from rigid material and a member for effectuating complete compression of chamber so that no volume is left. This member is made in the form of helical spring secured in one of vessel bottoms. During initial period of saturation cycle the chamber is completely compressed by helical spring. Water and carbon dioxide are supplied into chamber through respective branch pipes provided with lock-regulating valves. Carbon dioxide supply branch pipe is provided with distributing member. Intake of carbonated water is effectuated through respective branch pipe. Water, carbon dioxide and carbonated water intake branch pipes are mounted in end walls of vessel and chamber. Apparatus has devices for supplying water, carbon dioxide under pressure and device for intaking carbonated water, with all devices mentioned being communicated with respective branch pipes.
