FIELD: power engineering and metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves charging fuel and wastes into molten slag bath; blowing bath by oxygen-containing gas. Solid fuel is burnt in slag melt above layer of metallized phase. The ratio of metallized phase layer height and silicate slag layer height in killed state is 1: (2.1-6.5). Dust entrainment of heat power plants in an amount of 10-40 % by weight with limestone additive in an amount of 5-55% of weight consumption of fuel and dust entrainment may be used as wastes. EFFECT: increased all-round utilization of fuel and increased economic efficiency of combustion process through extraction of iron, sulfur, heavy non-ferrous, noble and platinum metals. 2 cl, 1 tbl
