FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: trivalent arsenic is converted to pentavalent state prior to reduction to elemental state. Reduction process is carried out in an arsenic containing solution warmed up to 80-90 C at pH = 3-5. The solution contains per 1 l: 0.5-10 g of arsenic, 0.1-0.5 g of Cu in form of copper sulfate; as reducing agent is used metallic zinc in 1.5-time excess relative to arsenic.
