FIELD: pediatrics. SUBSTANCE: content of myoglobin in newborn's urine was determined on first day of life. When myoglobin content exceeded 20 ng/ml, researchers predicted development of disadaptation syndrome. Disclosed method allowed predicting adaptation capabilities of neonates on first day of life, in particular those born by females suffering from diverse pregnancy complications. EFFECT: new method is characterized by simplicity, higher accuracy, constancy and stability of reproduction of results. 1 tbl
