FIELD: devices for cleaning and drying the compressed air. SUBSTANCE: interior of main filter element of coalescent filter-drier is divided by movable piston provided with packing ring, collar and low-stiffness spring which interferes with free motion of piston. Main filter element is made of ceramics or cermet material. For separation of liquid contaminants, the following members of centrifugal filter-moisture separator are mounted: swirler, deflector and reflector. When compressed air is fed to inlet passage of coalescent filter-drier, piston starts moving in chamber of main filter element depending on amount of pressure and setting of the spring. After coagulation and condensation of vapor, liquid contaminants flow to swirler and after passing this swirler, condensed moisture flows down along reservoir wall and cleaned air is fed to outlet passage. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of cleaning compressed air of water-and-oil aerosols and mist; drying of compressed air; enhanced durability of filter element and reduced usage of materials for apparatus. 2 cl, 1 dwg
