FIELD: petroleum emulsion production. SUBSTANCE: petroleum having viscosity 2000-250000 mPa s is mixed with aqueous solution of emulsifying surface active substance, component's concentration being 70-98 vol % and 2-30 vol % respectively. Mixing is carried out within 10-1000 s-1 so that thus prepared emulsion contains highly deformed oil drops with average diameter 2-50 μm being divided by thin interphase films.
