FIELD: rail track maintenance and repair. SUBSTANCE: spike has two parts of which one has rod fitted in tie 5. Made on one end of rod is head pressed to foot of rail 7 and on other end, projection 2. Other part of spike is embedded part 3 placed between rod and tie 5. Side of rod opposite to embedded part 3 is sharpened to form blade 4. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of fastening. 3 dwg
