FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: hydrophilic element is used as sensitive element and is made in form of sugar or carbon. Part of rod-converter which is in contact with sensitive element is conical in shape. Lower portion of sensitive element is fixed and its lateral surfaces are provided with air gaps. As sensitive element gets in contact with liquid, it quickly changes to plastic body at sharply reduced strength. Under action of spring, end of rod deeply sinks in element and upper flange of rod presses button of toggle microswitch, thus making it operate. Air gaps on lateral surfaces of element enhance its response. EFFECT: enhanced response. 1 dwg
