FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: surface of wound was given thin coat of dry powder containing 20 to 25 % by weight of 80-percent wettable Trichlorfon powder, 15 to 20 percent by weight starch, 15 to 20 % by weight flour, 6 to 10 % by weight sodium bicarbonate, 0.5 to 1.5 % by weight alum, 1.5 to 2.5 % by weight Novocaine, building gypsum (alabaster) or talc constituting the remainder. EFFECT: thus prepared amorphous white powder having scent of Trichlorfon exhibited pronounced insecticidal effect on myiatic fly larvae embedded in wounds, revealed itself as excellent analgetic and prevented myiatic flies from laying new larvae on surfaces of wounds, both invasive and fresh.
