PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AUXILIARY MATERIAL FOR BOILING AND PEROXIDE BLEACHING OF TEXTILES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2011717 C1

FIELD: manufacture of auxiliary textile chemicals for preparing cellulose fiber fabrics for dyeing; fabrication of chemicals possessing high wetting, washing and degreasing abilities and capacity of stabilizing hydrogen peroxide in strong alkaline medium at elevated temperatures. SUBSTANCE: alkylpolyoxyethyleneglycol ester containing 8 to 18 C atoms in alkyl group and having average oxyethylation degree of 6 to 12 or alkylphenylpolyoxy ethyleneglycol ester containing 8 to 12 C atoms in alkyl group and having average oxyethylation degree of 10 to 12 was reacted with stirring with vinyl-n-butyl esterat their molar ratio 1 : 0.99 to 1.10 in presence of catalytic 1-oxyethylidene diphosphonic acid taken in amount of 1 to 4 % by mass of polyoxyethyleneglycol ester at temperature of 50 to 60 C during 25 to 55 min. Reaction product was allowed to cool to 15 to 20 C and then neutralized by caustic soda with stirring for 10 to 15 min. Resultant product was added with either distilled or demineralized water and then consecutively another amount of 1-oxyethylidene diphosphonic acid. Introduced as surfactant was sodium or triethanolamine salt of aliphatic alcohol sulfate containing from 8 to 18 C atoms in alkyl group or aliphatic alcohol sulfoxylate containing 8 to 18 C atoms in alkyl group and having oxyethylation degree of 1 to 3. Thus obtained acetal and additives, that is, acetal - caustic soda - water - 1-oxyethylidenediphosphonic acid - surfactant were in the ratio 10 to 20 : 0.6 to 1.5 : 59 to 70 : 2 to 5 : 15 to 25. Desired product having concentration of 1 g/cu. dm exhibited wetting ability of 58 to 64 s when applied to cotton fabric and 65 to 73 s when applied to cotton-dacron fabric, degree of decomposition of hydrogen peroxide of 70.4 to 76.5 % after elapse of 1 h, degree of cotton fabric whiteness between 86.2 to 88.7 % , and cotton fabric post-bleaching capillarity of 140 to 180 mm after elapse of 1 h. EFFECT: high qualities of end product. 3 tbl
