FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: frequency of emerging and design resonance oscillations in electric power supply system are compared. Capacitive reactance of device of longitudinal capacitive compensation is changed in functional dependence on amplitude of emerging oscillations and on difference of compared frequencies. If frequency of design resonance oscillations exceeds obtained value capacitive reactance of device is increased and if frequency of emerging oscillations exceeds obtained value capacitive reactance of device for longitudinal compensation is decreased.
