FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: source suspension is fed into a tangential duct of the housing of the hydrocyclone and causes the rotation motion to it. By centrifuge forces the solid particles are caused to spirally move, while thickening, towards a flexible sand hood. A clarified flow is removed via an outlet pipe. The flexible hood is squeezed by bows for thickening the solid suspension in it. By pushing the button the rod, provided with a larger bow, is actuated to radially shift until the elastic sand hood is completely overlapped upon the rod being stopped by the smaller bow. During the discharge of the thickened flow the button is released. EFFECT: improved quality of separating pulps. 3 cl, 4 dwg
