SUBSTANCE: in response to reduced load cylinder 2 is disengaged, piston head and skirt are disconnected, piston head is locked in the top dead center by increasing the pressure in cavities under the piston skirt 10 and piston head to exceed the pressure over the piston head by ejector 20. Passive nozzle 21 of ejector 20 communicates with cavity overlying piston head through additional discharge member 22. After an increase in the load the pressure in the cavity over the piston head ensures a higher pressure in the cavity under the skirt 10 and piston head.
