FIELD: chemistry industry. SUBSTANCE: a disazo acid dye of the formula for dyeing in red natural leather and woolen fabric. The dye is prepared by combining prodiazotated 4.4′-diamonodiphenylsulfamide with a N-acid solution in an acid medium followed by combining the resulting diazomonoazo compound with a Nevil-Winther acid solution in an alkaline medium. EFFECT: the new disazo acid dye shows improved physical and chemical properties, the water solubility is 4 points, the distilled water resistance is 5 (3) 3 and the friction resistance is 4-3 points.
