FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: earthen dam drainage has a receiving section formed by a 3-dimensional protection filter and a drain section formed by drain pipes. A trench is made below the drain pipe. The trench is filled by toroidal members united in blocks and installed vertically. The trench plays the role of an additional water receiving member and intercepts the filtration flow passing through the dam basement. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 dwg
