FIELD: mining, etc. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has movable and stationary reference points, connected by measuring link 3, one end of which is fixed on movable reference point and other end is passed through stationary reference point pulley 4, shaft 6 of which is connected with sensor of rock masses shifting. Sensor has primary converter, mounted in body 7, and signal processing unit 15, connected with primary converter. Primary converter of rock masses shifting sensor has clearance removing gear box 9, on output shaft 10 of which non-ferromagnetic material disk 11 with fixed on its circumference permanent magnets 12 is mounted, and gercons 14, fixed by cantilevers 13 on body 7 with capability to engage with permanent magnets magnetic fields. In case of rock masses shift space between reference points, that are connected with rock masses shifting sensor, changes. Measuring link 3 causes rotation of disk 11 with fixed on it permanent magnets 12, magnetic field of which make contacts of gercons and reversing counter of signal processing unit 15 registers value of shift by counting number of made contacts of gercons 14.
