FIELD: welding. SUBSTANCE: actual voltage and amperage of arc in the interval of growing welding current are periodically monitored in each macropulse. Average value of deviations from standard characteristic is determined. Control signal is generated to act on electric drive for moving the burner to maximum discrepancy. Current and voltage of filling wire are measured in each step. Electrical power applied to the filling wire is controlled ensuring melting of its end at a distance from the surface of welding bath equal to two diameters of the filling wire.
