FIELD: glass industry. SUBSTANCE: solution for chemical glass polishing is prepared by mixing of sulfuric acid with fluorine-containing reagent. The source of latter is a mixture of hydrofluoric and hydrochloric acids. Concentration of hydrogen fluoride in this mixture is maintained at the range 20-50%. Sulfuric acid is mixed by two steps: firstly up to mass ratio HF/HF/H2SO4 = 0.55-0.9, and then - the residual quantity. EFFECT: improved method of preparing. 2 cl, 2 tbl
