FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: wedge joint has holder 1 with wedge-shaped groove, movable member 2 provided with a socket for receiving blank 3 and groove 5, and wedge 4 provided with projection 6 which can be set in groove 5 of movable member 2. A bottom of wedge groove of holder 1 is made of two surfaces positioned at an angle to each other. One of the surfaces is in contact with surface of the wedge which faces it and other is in contact with surface of the movable member which faces it. Groove 4 of the movable member is located at an angle to the first and second surfaces of the holder groove. Clamping blank 3 on holder 1 is provided by pressing to the movable member in the direction of force P₃. In so doing the movable member with the blank is shifted to the right and wedge 4 wedges them in the wedge groove of the holder. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 dwg
