FIELD: furnaces. SUBSTANCE: furnace with a sliding door in a casing and a car-bottom hearth is made with a frame which has upper and lower beams extending ahead of the front wall of the furnace. Upper and lower guides parallel to the plane of the front wall of the furnace are welded to the beams. A frame casing rigidly connected to two upper and two lower shafts is mounted between the outer guides. Rollers directly engageable with the outer guides are located on the ends of the shafts. Two upper and two lower inner guides perpendicular to the outer guides are stationary mounted inside a frame box. The lined door closing the furnace aperture in the furnace laying is mounted on these guides by rollers connected to the door frame short shafts. The frame casing is fixed in the working position (when the door is opposite to the furnace aperture in the laying) by a locking device which is inserted into the slot in the lower outer guide, and in a removed position - by an identical locking device on the other side of the box and a slot on the outer lower guide.
