FIELD: coating technique. SUBSTANCE: unit has nipple positioned so that its inlet opening has its longitudinal cross-section axis lying in the same plane with that of the unit. The nipple has an outlet opening with a nozzle which longitudinal axis of section is located so as to cross the above-mentioned plane. The gas collector has the form of a hollow closed-type shell with orifices arranged in at least three rows and evenly distributed over its perimeter. The collector encloses a stationary unit located at its center for feeding the spraying gas and the medium to be sprayed with the unit being rigidly bound to the collector. The latter has a rotary sprayer mounted on it so that its gas conduit is attached to the inner cavity of the collector through the orifices arranged in the middle row with the two extreme ones being immediately adjacent to the outer walls of the rotary sprayer and having their orifices staggered. The latter are located D - 1.5 D center to center with D symbolizing the diameter of a unit orifice arranged in a row. The rotary sprayer has its inner gas conduit formed as a ring-shaped cavity enclosing the gas collector and connecting to it through an orifice. EFFECT: increased efficiency of noncontact sealing of the mobile connection between the rotary sprayer and the gas collector; higher quality of the applied coatings; efficient operation of the rotary sprayer in the regime of autorotation. 3 cl, 5 dwg
