FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: accumulating kinetic energy in a reactive portion of transducer, transferring a force section to medium to be investigated by an active portion of transducer mechanically coupled with it, generating and applying an electric signal to control winding for controlling the movement of transducer reactive portion mounted on its active portion. The method is characterized in that transducer active and reactive portions are movably mounted relative to each other. The reactive portion is driven into rotation, force action is realized by applying an electric pulse to the control winding, the reactive portion being driven into rotation at a constant speed. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 2 dwg
