FIELD: silviculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves clearing cutting areas by strips up to 0.5 mm wide and making mounds from windfallen wood and nonused low-grade wood and felling residues, crushing wood in mounds, making microelevations in the form of beds, planting forest cultures on microelevations and cultivating work. Before crushing the wood in mounds it is pressed down to soil by spike, stud or cutter rolls, then shredded into 0.5-1.5 lengths with cutting or cleaving tools of the same rolls. Planting material is placed into holes made by the same working tools. The width of mounds is not less than half the width of cleared strips which are ripped on the surface. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 8 dwg
