FIELD: tanning industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for hides polishing has working unit, mechanism to transport hides, table for hides placement, tool to remove hides, drive of rotation and pressing working unit to hides. Working unit has shaft-drum with spaced by definite step rectangular sheets of polishing paper, one end of which is fixed to shaft-drum side surface. Drive for pressing working unit to hides represents differential screw mechanism. Its running screw by one end is hinged through two spring-loaded edges, engaged with each other by slant sides, to supports of rotation of working unit. Working unit drive of rotation is made as two volume type hydraulic motors, connected in parallel to pressure main of lubrication post. Hydraulic motors have regulated throttles in pouring out trunks, output shafts of which are kinematically connected with differential screw mechanism.
