FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling holes in coal mass, sampling of drillings and their placing in air-tight vessel, measurement of dynamics of gas liberation from drillings, and determination of gas content in coal. Method also includes determination of heat capacity and moisture content in coal of extracted seam, density of drillings and desorption heat, rock temperature, critical value of drillings temperature drop in outburst-prone zones of seams having similar characteristics, which are used to classify according to their values the extracted coal zone as outburst-prone one. Difference for different time moments of temperatures of drilling produced by drilling reference blasthole in degassed part of face zone of tested seam at drilling interval in blasthole length same as in sampling tested drillings, and maximum value for obtained temperature difference values. Using mathematic expressions the amount of desorbed gas at different time moments and value of diffusion parameters are found. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
