FIELD: testing coil springs made of ferromagnetic material for corrosion fatigue. SUBSTANCE: device 1 has vessel 2 with corrosion medium 3 embraced by winding 4 connected through switch 6 controlled by generator 5 to regulated power source 7. When voltage is applied to winding 4, the spring undergoes compression, and when it is deenergized spring is released. During spring motion, it is intensively washed with corrosive medium.
