FIELD: beer brewing. SUBSTANCE: essence of this method for automatically controlling malt discharge process resides in counting number of pulses transmitted by shaft rotational speed sensor from instant screw agitator starts raking up malt to instant it returns to original position and determining malt discharge front coordinate depending on number of pulses and point of beginning of next screw agitator's run-in to catch another batch of malt to be discharged by referring to malt discharge front coordinate and discharging entrapped batch by raking up malt by fixedly positioned screws. Disclosed method prescribes discharging malt with regard to time screw agitator is retained in initial position, which can be determined by the following equation: T=To-L/V2-(2K+L).V1, where To-M/Q stands for total permanent time required for completing each run, Q represents optimum discharge capacity, M denotes constant pre-selected mass of malt batch to be discharged, L is length of malt-growing pan section corresponding to preset batch to be discharged, M signifies rotational speed of fast-running screw agitator, V1 is rotational speed of screw agitator at slow run, V2 represents number of current run, and K + L(i - 1) stands for discharge front coordinate.
