FIELD: mining electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has series-connected transformer, switching point, rectifier and current regulator whose output is connected via series-connected electronic timer and logic element with cell switching point. Additionally device is provided with protection member, starting button, monitoring and control unit, load group, additional rectifier, stand-by power source, automatic switch and circuit breaker. All units and members are electrically connected to one another with new couplings which form charging, discharging, supplying and control circuits. EFFECT: increased service life of cells due to exclusion of their polarity reversal and noncontrolled charge. 1 dwg
