FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: counterflow separator comprises throw-in device, rectangular laminating chamber whose cross-section grows downward at a constant width. Lower part of chamber accommodates dividers on revolving axles capable of horizontal movement. Separating chamber has openings for communication with fan through suction pipe unions directed upward at an acute angle to plane of symmetry of separator, clean grain receiver, air intakes in the form of adjustable shutter walls directed at an angle to one another and disposed symmetrically to separator plane of symmetry. EFFECT: counterflow separator increases efficiency of pneumatic separation by preliminary mechanical separation of admixtures by dividers, by higher uniformity of air flow and its penetrating ability through thrown-in stream of material, and due to the action of air flow directed against movement of material particles. 2 cl, 6 dwg
