FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining condition of ground surface and trees on terraces. On every third or fifth terrace all trees are cut down on the part of terrace to be expanded. Poorly growing trees are selectively removed on piled up slope of terrace being cleared. Felled trees are placed in bundles on piled-up slope of auxiliary terraces. Felling residues are heaped near stumps of removed trees or trunks of growing trees and covered with soil during expansion and lifting the surface of auxiliary terrace by 0.2-0.3 m. Auxiliary terraces are formed every two or four excavated and piled-up terraces. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 dwg
