CLAMPING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: machine structure to cut off casting products from casting block riser produced by investment casting. SUBSTANCE: clamping device has front and back heads installed on a common base. Two rests to clamp axially the riser and casting product and drives to move them are mounted on the heads. The rests are able to move along slideways. A power cylinder and a screw gage with a flywheel are served as the drives. On-head mounted slideways are horizontally shifted away as to center line of the rests. The head provided with power cylinder has holding down unit in the form of prismatic support to install riser end. The support is hinged to end of cylinder stem with swinging clamp and double-arm lever. The lever is hinged to cylinder stem and the rest. Screw in the upright with screw gage is stationary and nut is mounted in flywheel hub. EFFECT: increased productivity. 2 cl, 8 dwg
