PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURE OF ONCOOVARIAN ALPHA-1-GLOBULIN PREPARATION Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: biology and medicine, particularly, biochemistry and bioengineering; manufacture of new tumoral marker of human being's ovarian adenocarcinoma, that is oncoovarian alpha-1-globulin, from extracts of ovaries affected by primary and metastatic carcinoma. SUBSTANCE: oncoovarian alpha-1-globulin is preparation required for preparing its monospecific antisera used for development of specific methods of immunodiagnosis of ovarian tumors. This process should be carried out by ion-exchange chromatography of biological stock, treating unbonded fraction by ammonium sulfate, centrifuging and dissolving precipitate in minimum amount of distilled water, gel-filtrating precipitate in column using sefadex, precipitating it with ammonium sulfate, repeatedly gel-filtrating precipitate using sefadex in volatile ammonium bicarbonate buffer, and finally lyophilizing end product. Consecutively carrying out above described steps produces oncoovarian alpha-1-globulin having purity of 70 %. Yield of desired product: 20 %. EFFECT: novel effective tumoral marker.
