FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: loader of the Maltese-cross intermittent transmission is made of alternate fixed and movable disks positioned coaxially and parallel. The fixed disks are set in bearings on driven shaft, rigidly interconnected and pivotally coupled with a stand. The movable disks are rigidly secured to the driven shaft. Each disk is provided with magnets arranged over periphery. Polarity of the magnets is alternate, and the number of magnets provided on each disk is equal to twin number of grooves of Maltese- cross. When the mechanism is in operation the magnets of the movable disks are repelled from like magnets of the fixed disks and create a torque pointed in direction of rotation of the cross for its acceleration. For deceleration of the cross the magnets of the movable disks are attracted to unlike magnets of the fixed disks and create a torque opposite to direction of rotation of the cross. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
