FIELD: civil engineering; construction of MULTISTORY quake-proof buildings. SUBSTANCE: stiffness core is formed of paired relatively-perpendicular triangular diaphragms whose bases are rigidly connected to foundation throughout the width and length of building and their apices are brought to half the height of the upper storey. Bases of internal columns are rigidly connected with stiffness core while external columns disposed in transit of diagrams are connected with stiffness core and with foundation. Ties are located in upper storey and consist of paired braces forming, together with columns, skew-symmetric triangles, and of inclined spindle articulated by bolts with connection joint of paired braces. Middle point of said spindle is bolted to apex of triangular diaphragm with a provision for its turning in plane of said diaphragm. EFFECT: improved design. 6 dwg
