FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes pouring of solution of electrolyte through hole in vessel of grounding electrode, installation of air throttle in hole of vessel of grounding electrode and filling it with electrolyte. After measurement of resistance to spreading of electric current of grounding electrode in ground with open position of throttle and setting of value of resistance to spreading less than rated one air throttle is transferred into position corresponding to minimal consumption of electrolyte. Resistance to spreading of electric current of grounding electrode in ground is measured anew and if it exceeds rated value air throttle is set into position ensuring consumption of electrolyte sufficient to keep specified value of mentioned resistance which does not exceed rated value. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of grounding electrode, reduced consumption of electrolyte. 1 dwg
