FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: device is used for investigating and testing electric arm current collectors. The following functional assemblies of the device are doubled: simulator of the current collector member, simulator of the contact bus, a separate platform, control unit of the arc arson modes etc. The introduction of the switch of the control units of the parameters of the arc and the synchronization unit of the arc arson provides for actual energetic and dynamic investigation modes and allows under the laboratory and plant conditions to determine the correctness of the technical decisions of members and assemblies of the electric arc current collectors with two arc gaps as well as of the electric arc network.
