FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device to test storage battery includes capacitor and choke connected to input terminals of device with the aid of commutating element and voltmeter with diode shunting network of choke and commutating element placed in series. Capacitor is charged from storage battery through choke. On completion of charge process voltmeter shows difference of voltages of capacitor and storage battery which depends on internal resistance of battery. If voltmeter readings are smaller than permissible value determined in advance storage battery is rejected. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of testing of storage batteries. 3 dwg
