FIELD: wood-working. SUBSTANCE: a coating is applied to the saw surface, and then deformation of the surface layer is performed by high-speed friction to a quarter or half length from the tooth point; at the same time the tool is quickly cooled down by means of an air jet from two impellers secured in alignment on both sides of the blade. The rotational speed of the steel blade is selected within 60 to 65 m/s at fair translation of the wood saw at a speed of 1.25 m/min at a single cutting-in of the blade to a depth of 0.3 mm and simultaneous quick cooling of the working zone by an air jet from impellers whose vanes are inclined to the blade plane at an angle of 75 to 82°. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
