LONGITUDINAL-LINE RECORDING MAGNETIC HEADS POSITIONER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: magnetic recording. SUBSTANCE: positioner has base onto which hollow drum is mounted for rotation. The drum has single through slot at least along its generatrix inside which step engine is placed for vertical displacement of magnetic heads attached to carriage. Input of the engine is connected with revolution pickup through control unit; the pickup is disposed onto the base of positioner. One end of rocker is provided with a nut fixed by a hinge and connected with screw which is connected with shaft of step engine. The other end is provided with a nut which is connected with under-line screw. There is a head at one side of the screw. There is a spherical jack at the other side of the screw. The jack is conjugated with spherical jack of carriage by means of rest sliding pin sharpened at both ends. The jack may shift along the axis through cylindrical generatrix inside which a spring is mounted. The post is introduced which is provided with fork and shaft conjugated with rocker. The post is mounted onto the base motionless. Step engine is mounted is parallel to axis of the drum and disposed from outside of it. The case is provided with knife stop mounted in jack of the base.
