FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method in which product being ketosulfide mixture is produced through reacting acetone or methyl ethyl ketone with a mixture of formaldehyde with sulfide-alkali discharges. The latter contain (percent by weight) 0.2-3 of sulfur sulfide or 0.2-5 of sulfur merkaptan with the mass ratio of formaldehyde:sulfur to acetone or methyl ethyl ketone being (1,875-2,945): (0,975-1,25):1. The reaction is performed at a room temperature. EFFECT: higher efficiency of process better quality of absorbent. 3 tbl
