FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: mechanism has collet chuck, mounted in spindle, pushers and elastic compensator, located between chuck and working cam, connected by lever with distributing shaft. Mechanism is provided with mounted inside spindle sleeve with holes, parallel to axis, and cavity, filled with hydraulic mass, on outer surface and with rods, located in radial holes, made in spindle, with capability to be engaged with working cam and aforesaid hydraulic mass. Pushers are placed in pointed holes of sleeve with capability to be engaged with hydraulic mass and collet chuck. Compensator is made as elastic wall of the sleeve cavity. EFFECT: clamping mechanism of automatic lathe is used lathe machining spindle units of automatic lathes. 1 dwg
