FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: nominal diameters of pipes before exploitation and current diameters of pipes after exploitation are measured. Two lateral seams of the pipe are taken as initial point of count. Current diameter is measured at four cross-sections among the seams disposed in pairs from corresponding seams at preset distance from them. Device has three count units which provide inspection of sizes of current diameters, differences in diameters and residual deformation of the pipe in percents. EFFECT: improved precision. 8 dwg, 2 cl
