MOBILE AGGREGATE FOR TIMBER PACKS LOG BY LOG DISASSEMBLING AND ROUND TIMBER SORTING Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: timber industry. SUBSTANCE: aggregate has bunker 1 with stationary and movable walls 2. Movable wall is made in the form of fork-type catch 3, that is capable to be turned around its axis by hydraulic cylinders 4. Stationary wall end has small threshold 5 in zone of action of elevator 6. Butts levelling device 7, log by log feeding mechanism 8 and transverse sorting conveyer 9 are mounted after elevator. Conveyer 9 has sorting carriages 10, connected by elbow lead rods 11 with pulling chains 12. All mechanisms of the apparatus are mounted on common frame 13. Hinge 14 divides frame of apparatus for two parts: frame of sorting transporter 15 and frame of timber rolling table 16. Frame of apparatus has several supports. Extreme supports 17 and intermediate support 18, using wheels 19 , turned by 90 deg in respect to longitudinal axis of apparatus, rest at railways 20. Fork catch has posts, that together with the fork catch are mounted on movable platform on their common axis. Fork catch is fixed on its axis by hinge, and hinge of fork catch is located eccentrically in respect to axis of fork catch. Movable platform of fork catch moves in fork catch platform frame 25, one end of which rests at frame of timber rolling table and its other end rests at outriggers 27 in process of timber truck packs unloading. Ropes 29, forming rope basket, are laid on bottom of bunker. One side ends of rope basket are fixed on load winch 30, other side ends of rope basket, passing through rings 31 and leads 32 also with rings at their ends, through which ropes of rope basket are passing, are connected with fork ends of fork catch. Timber rolling table frame has mounted on it drive 33 for transverse sorting conveyer and log by log feeding mechanism. Catches with remote control locks are mounted on ends of fork catches posts. Ropes of rope basket are used to be connected to the locks during lifting timber packs from timber trucks. Special lift 35 with small threshold 36 is mounted between bunker and log by log feeding mechanism. Lift and threshold are used for preliminary log by log separation from their continuous single-row feeding. Sorted logs are thrown down in collectors 37. Collectors are located in several rows. Sorting apparatus after one row collectors filling, using wheels, moves to row of free collectors. To move timber packs in bunker on timber rolling table frame, fork catches platform drive 38 is used. To feed round timber to sorting apparatus timber trucks are used.
