FIELD: boreholes drilling. SUBSTANCE: elevator to lift and rotate pipes has body 1 with links 2, connected by hinge 3 with traverse 4. Spring-loaded in direction of traverse 4 lock 13 is set in hole 14 of link 2. Lock has capability to move in direction, that is parallel to axis 19 of body 1. Lock 13 is made as angular shape with longitudinal arm 20, head of which is engaged with groove, made in butt of traverse 4 from side of thread end 17 of spindle. Transverse arm 21 of lock 13 is brought trough hole 14 of link 2 to its outer side and is fixed to prevent dropping out. The design allows to have axial fixation of body with traverse with engaged lock under any angle of borehole inclination. Making lock double-armed with longitudinal fixing arm 20 and transverse arm 21 with a handle allows quickly exercise fixing and unfixing of elevator body with spindle. EFFECT: elevator to lift and rotate pipes is used for lowering-lifting operations of boring strings of pipes. 5 cl, 4 dwg
