FIELD: electrical equipment. SUBSTANCE: each of two original signals are shifted by an arbitrary angle to an arbitrary side without change in amplitude. Two additional signals are generated as semi-sum and semi-difference of each pair of original and shifted signals on the base of each pair of the original and shifted signals. One instant value for any of four additional signals is fixed concurrently in each of two moments of metering. Phase difference is calculated on the base of eight values of additional signals fixed for two time moments.
