FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method of determining the finely divided ferromagnetic fraction of the iron-containing impurities of industrial sloppings includes the additional determination, by means of a chemical method in the taken samples, of the number and the relative reduction of the impurity contents. The contents of the ferromagnetic fraction of the iron-containing impurities separated from the gaseous flow is determined by the correlation of the relative reduction of the impurity contents measured by the gravimetric method in the samples before and after fitting on to the relative reduction of the contents of the iron-containing impurities determined by the chemical method in the same samples. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements.
